Doha: Virtuocity, the cutting-edge digital entertainment venue located in Doha Festival City, has been honored with the “Most Immersive Attraction & Experience” award at the Global RLI Awards 2025, held on June 25 at The Londoner Hotel in London.

This prestigious global accolade marks a defining milestone, positioning Qatar as an emerging powerhouse in the international leisure and entertainment industry.

Ali Bin Mohammed Al Attiya, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board at Leisure, received the award in London, stating: “We are honored to receive this recognition. It reflects our commitment to innovation, guest engagement, and creating memorable experiences that blend technology and imagination. Virtuocity is proud to represent Qatar among the world’s most immersive destinations.”

He added: “This award is not just for our team—it’s for the thousands of guests whose excitement, curiosity, and passion inspire us every day.”

Located in Doha Festival City, Virtuocity combines high-end esports arena, racing simulators, escape rooms, and interactive VR experiences, offering a future-forward blend of gameplay and storytelling.

Its immersive design and seamless fusion of digital interactivity impressed the judges at the Global RLI Awards, which recognize excellence and innovation in retail and leisure projects worldwide.

In addition to Virtuocity’s win, Angry Birds World—also developed and operated by Leisure—was highly commended in the category of “RLI Most Innovative Retail & Entertainment Concept.”

Inspired by the globally iconic Angry Birds franchise, the park was celebrated for its dynamic combination of themed attractions and branded retail.

From interactive rides and arcade games to immersive play zones and character-led adventures, Angry Birds World has redefined family entertainment in the region.

This recognition, alongside Virtuocity’s win, highlights Leisure’s strength in delivering engaging, IP-driven experiences that resonate across generations.

Together, Virtuocity and Angry Birds World form part of Leisure’s triad of flagship venues at Doha Festival City, alongside Snow Dunes—Qatar’s first indoor snow park.

Across these three attractions, Leisure offers a diverse portfolio of experiences, ranging from esports and snow play to family rides, edutainment, and immersive experiences.

Christopher Barton, Director of Asset Management at Doha Festival City, also played a key role in the success of all three destinations.

His continued support has helped make Virtuocity, Angry Birds World, and Snow Dunes standout attractions at the mall, contributing to Doha Festival City’s reputation as one of Qatar’s top leisure destinations.

These dual honors at the 2025 Global RLI Awards not only reaffirm Leisure’s leadership in the regional entertainment space, but also reflect Qatar’s national vision of becoming a global hub for tourism, leisure, and creative industries.
