Doha, Qatar: The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (Aman), one of the centres affiliated with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has participated in awareness and recreational activities for children as part of Qatar’s National Back-to-School Campaign and the “Connect with Your Children” campaign.
The activities were held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Social Development and Family, and the Hour and Hour (Sa’a wa Sa’a) programme, which organised the event at West Walk.
As part of its participation, Aman set up a dedicated awareness and recreational pavilion featuring interactive activities for children and parents, alongside an engaging stage programme designed to deliver child-protection messages in an accessible and entertaining manner.
The Aman pavilion attracted a strong turnout from children and parents. Activities focused on introducing visitors to the centre’s services and promoting personal safety, prevention of violence and bullying, and the importance of family dialogue. The pavilion also distributed educational materials and gifts, while specialists responded to visitors’ questions and inquiries.
The centre also presented an interactive awareness and entertainment segment on the event stage, combining education and enjoyment to communicate key messages to children in a simple and engaging way.
Acting Executive Director of Aman Centre Fadl Al Kaabi, said the centre’s participation in the National Back-to-School Campaign and the “Connect with Your Children” campaign reflects its commitment to engaging in community events targeting children and families.
He stressed the importance of awareness and prevention as the new academic year begins, noting that this period provides an opportunity to reinforce child-protection and safety concepts. He added that Aman seeks to reach members of the community through different events and occasions, recognising early awareness as a key pillar in preventing various forms of violence and abuse.
Director of Community Awareness at Aman Centre Bakheeta Al Ghayathin, said the participation focused on innovative awareness messages tailored to the targeted age group, combining interaction and entertainment to achieve a greater impact.
She said the centre seeks to make its activities engaging and accessible to children by presenting preventive messages in an enjoyable format.
Director of the Communication and Media Office at Aman Centre Hanan Al Ali, said the participation forms part of the centre’s media plan to strengthen its presence at community events and reach a wider segment of the public.
She said Aman seeks to use major community occasions to deliver impactful awareness messages tailored to society’s needs.
