Sheikh Jabor becomes board chairman of Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation

Doha: Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation has restructured its Board of Directors, following the decision of H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, the founding member.

The decision included the appointment of Sheikh Jabor bin Yousef bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani as Vice-Chairman of the Board.

The Board of Directors comprises Saeed Mathkar Al Hajri, Board Member - Managing Director; Ishaq Ahmed Hashem, Board Member – Treasurer; and Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Sulaiti, Board Member.

The regulation of Board of Directors of Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation states that the Board of Directors will carry vital tasks to enhance its charitable and administrative performance. The board is responsible for overseeing the foundation’s business and assuming an effective leadership role in order to achieve the strategic objectives, and to review and approve its business plan.

The board is also responsible for approving, managing and developing the strategic plan and objectives of the institution, approving initiatives, including those related to important investments, proceeding them and monitoring progress on a periodic basis, with reviewing and approving transactions related to substantial investments and major expenditures according to delegation of multiple powers and authorities.
