Education Ministry honours 47 from Al Rowad for Volunteer Work

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education represented by Private Education Affairs Sector, honoured 47 volunteers from Al Rowad for Volunteer Work in appreciation of their efforts in monitoring the precautionary and preventive measures taken by kindergartens and private schools to curb COVID-19 during the last academic year.

They were honoured in a ceremony held at headquarters of Scout and Guide Association of Qatar. 

The event was attended by Commissioner General of Scouts and Guide Association of Qatar Jassim Mohammed Al Hardan; President of Al Rowad for Voluntary Work Dr. Yousef Ali Al Kadhim  and Director of Private Schools Affairs Department Rashid Ahmed Al Amiri.

Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Omar Abdel Aziz Al Naama presented certificates of thanks and appreciation to the volunteers.Al Rowad for Voluntary Work has been also presented the Ministry’s shield and a certificate of appreciation, praising its role and following up on the accomplishment of the tasks they were entrusted with.

Addressing the event, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs Omar Abdulaziz Al Naama lauded the volunteers’ efforts in assisting the Private Schools Department in following the precautionary and preventive measures in private schools and kindergartens to curb the pandemic.

“The Ministry found that the volunteers excelled in accomplishing the required tasks. I felt great sincerity and dedication in following up every small and big thing, and they valued their concern for the safety of our students in schools,” said Al Naama.

Director of the Private Schools Affairs Rashid Ahmed Al Ameri lauded the role of volunteers, explaining that their roles were complementary to the roles of management advisers, and they contributed to monitoring and following up on precautionary measures in more than 325 kindergartens and private schools.

Chairman of Al Rowad for Voluntary Work, Dr. Youssef Ali Al Kadhim, praised the efforts of the volunteers and staff of the Private Schools Affairs Department in following up on the implementation of precautionary and preventive measures by private educational institutions against coronavirus.

He stressed that the good reputation of Al Rowad volunteers and their passion for serving others as volunteering increased their demand among various institutions and authorities, and now they will also participate in the constituencies’ headquarters for the Shura Council elections, which reflects their great capabilities and qualifications.
