Doha: McDonald’s Qatar, fully owned and operated by Al Mana Restaurants & Food Co. in Qatar, is dedicated to serving up bright futures by providing its employees educational opportunities to help them grow their skills.

Towards this end, McDonald’s Qatar recently held a convocation ceremony for 37 of its employees who successfully graduated from the extensive Leading Great Restaurant (LGR) Training Course, offered by Hamburger University.

In celebration of their hard work and dedication to bettering their skills to serve the local community, General Manager of McDonald’s Qatar, Mithqual Abu Nasser and Sema Zoroglu, MEA Senior Training Manager, handed all 37 graduating employees their certificates of completion, issued by Hamburger University.

The “Leading Great Restaurants” is a required training course for crew that stand in line to qualify for a “restaurant leaders (RL)” role in future.

The LGR programme includes modules that deal with leadership, team performance, decision making, and coaching junior team members.

At the ceremony, Mithqual Abu Nasser gave a speech recognising the employees’ efforts, while underlining how truly great customer experiences are fuelled by great employee experiences.

“At McDonald’s Qatar, we consider it our responsibility to educate qualifying crew into the next generation of successful restaurant managers. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that many of our restaurant managers who have successfully developed careers with us initially started out as crew members — and we have high hopes from the 37 employees graduating today.”
