Doha: Young badminton sensation Sree Eswar Shijo, one of Kerala’s most promising badminton players, has been personally invited by Coach Manoj Sahibjan, Founder and High Performance Director & Developer (HPDD) of NVBS, to participate in an exclusive 12-day High-Performance Badminton Training Camp.

Coach Manoj first identified Sree Eswar’s exceptional talent when he was just six years old. Having closely followed his progress over the years, Coach Manoj personally approached Sree Eswar’s parents with a special invitation to bring him to NVBS Doha, Qatar for an intensive high-performance training program aimed at further enhancing his development and competitive performance.

Sree Eswar, who is currently studying in 9th Standard at Mar Elias School, Kottappady, Ernakulam, Kerala, India, is the Kerala State Champion in the Under-15 and Under-17 Boys’ Singles categories. Widely regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Indian badminton, he has demonstrated remarkable dedication, discipline, and commitment to the sport from a very young age.

The 12-day residential high-performance program has been carefully designed to maximize the athlete’s development through a structured schedule comprising three training sessions each day, totalling approximately six hours of professional training.

The morning session will focus on physical conditioning, including fitness, endurance, strength, speed, agility, quickness, and overall athletic development.

The afternoon session will feature intensive on-court technical training with high-quality stroke development and advanced badminton drills. The evening session will include two hours of competitive sparring, followed by full-body stretching, recovery exercises, and mobility training.

Throughout the camp, Coach Manoj will personally supervise every aspect of Sree Eswar’s training program. His daily schedule, performance, recovery, nutrition, and overall development will be managed under Coach Manoj's direct supervision to ensure a complete high-performance training experience.

Supporting the delivery of this elite high-performance training program are NVBS Head Coaches Ashif Ameerjan and Abhijith Venugopal, who work under Coach Manoj’s guidance and mentorship at NVBS. Together, the coaching team will play a vital role in implementing the structured training sessions.

Speaking about the invitation, Coach Manoj said that he has always believed in Sree Eswar’s potential and considers this training camp an opportunity to help unlock the next stage of his development.

“I recognised Sree Eswar’s talent when he was very young. This invitation is purely a personal initiative because I believe in his ability and future. My goal is to utilise these 12 days to bring meaningful improvements to the technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of his game. I am confident this program will contribute significantly to his long-term development,” said Coach Manoj.

NVBS academy believes that this intensive high-performance training program will provide Sree Eswar with valuable knowledge, greater game awareness, and measurable improvements, helping him move one step closer toward achieving his dream of excelling at the highest level of badminton.
