Doha: Twelve Qatari experts took the legal oath at the Ministry of Justice as accredited experts before the judicial authorities in the country in accordance with the controls outlined in Law No. (16) of 2017 regulating the work of expertise.
The experts received registration certificates to carry out their duties after registering them in the roster experts at the Experts Department of the Ministry of Justice.
This batch includes many cadres with expertise in different disciplines, including subtle and rare specialties, such as chemical engineering, quantity calculation engineering, building contract engineering, forgery and forgery detection, and specialized expertise in accounting and real estate valuation.
Minister of Justice and Minister of State for the Council of Ministers Affairs H E Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi congratulated the new experts on the occasion of their taking the legal oath, and expressed happiness at the presence of Qatari competencies with precise and rare specializations that will constitute a qualitative addition to their colleagues of judicial aides, stressing the Ministry of Justice’s keenness to encourage Qatari experts and qualify them in various fields.
The Ministry of Justice is working to prepare and qualify the national cadres and experts, and it works to attract those with rare and distinguished expertise to enhance the efficiency of expertise work of the judicial authorities and provide the necessary technical expertise in various fields and disciplines to achieve its goals to provide distinguished expertise that accompanies the comprehensive renaissance that the state witnesses in all fields and contribute to the consolidation of justice.
As part of its efforts to strengthen the national cadre of experts, the Ministry of Justice is working to increase the number of experts and diversify their fields of expertise, especially accurate and rare technical expertise, as the advanced system for the roster of experts has been developed to document and register various experiences in all disciplines, with the establishment of rules governing how experts are registered in the rosters and permission for experts to practice expertise jobs.
Experts are being prepared and qualified to practice the profession efficiently and impartially, through integrated training programs that applicants receive before taking the legal oath to practice the profession.
These programs aim to familiarize applicants to practice expertise with the rules for practicing the profession of experts by reviewing the provisions related to the conditions and controls for registering in the experts’ roster, and stating the legal obligations related to the exercise of the profession of experts (roster experts and management experts).
Also, the program aims to understand the rules for the complaint and disciplinary accountability of the expert, as well as the legal rules related to the implementation of expert work, the legal rules regulating the delegation of experts in criminal matters from the Public Prosecution, and the rules for discussing the experts report and objecting to it.
Besides, the program deals with the provisions regulating the registration of experts, the controls for practicing expert work, and the rules for performing and executing expert work in the law of pleadings and criminal procedures.
