Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced the fourth stage of the gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions.
The decision comes into effect from Sunday, January 3, 2021.
The resumption of entertainment activities would take place in three stages as follows:
The first stage: From January 3, 2021, outdoor playgrounds, kid's outdoor games, billiards and bowling
The second stage: From January 11, 2021, including electronic games and trampolines
The third stage: From January 24, 2021, including bouncers, inflatable games, and ball pits
In line with the previous decisions adopted to preserve Qatar citizens and residents' health and safety, and limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), the following has been decided:
Allowing the gradual resumption of recreational activities in amusement centres and parks, with an operational capacity no more than 50%.
Recreational centres should adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures outlined by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, and shall comply with the following guidelines:
Visitors are allowed entry only after checking their health status in EHTERAZ app, with the exception of children, and only those with a green code are allowed entry.
Individuals who do not wear masks are denied entry and visitors are required to keep their masks on while they are inside the recreation centre except for children aged under ten years old.
Visitors' temperatures must be measured, and individuals whose temperature is over 38 degrees Celsius are denied entry to the recreational activity site.
Visitors must be made aware of the need to maintain a safe distance of at least two metres.
The owners of companies providing entertainment services should comply with epidemic prevention circulars, decisions and directives, including:
• Instructions for the gradual re-opening plan, and the timeline announced by the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management.
• Circulars and decisions issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
• Instructions related to the responsibilities of employers to limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), and directives for health and safety regulations issued by the Ministry of Public Health.
• The policies set by the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs on the precautionary measures to prevent and reduce the spread of the epidemic.
“This decision goes into effect as of Sunday, January 3, 2021 and may be subject to amendments and updates according to the latest developments in this regard. Any violation of this decision exposes perpetrators to legal accountability and procedures,” ministry said.
The Ministry stressed that the success of each stage of the comprehensive plan of gradually lifting restrictions depends on the compliance of all individuals with the required preventive and precautionary measures.
