Qatar expressed its deep regret over the killing and wounding of dozens in the violence incidents currently taking place in West Darfur in Sudan, and stressed the need to take measures to stop them immediately, provide protection for civilians in order to prevent bloodshed.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties to let the voice of wisdom prevails, exercise restraint and pursue dialogue to overcome differences and restore security in Darfur.
The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm stance on supporting Sudan’s stability and achieving the aspirations of its people for peace, justice and development.
The Ministry also expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of Sudan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
