UDST signs MoU with Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services

Doha, Qatar: The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services, establishing a framework for collaboration to expand access to quality higher education for sponsored students from underserved backgrounds in Qatar.

The partnership aims to empower Qatari and non-Qatari youth through quality academic programmes, capacity development, and financial support, enabling them to make meaningful contributions in Qatar and globally.

The agreement is signed by UDST President, Dr. Salem Al-Naemi and Chief Executive Officer of Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services, Dr. Ayedh bin Dabsan Al-Qahtani.

MoU establishes a framework for cooperation in supporting sponsored students throughout their academic journey, including developing mechanisms for financial assistance with tuition fees, providing academic support, and creating an enabling environment that promotes student success and educational achievement.

Commenting on the agreement, President of UDST, Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, said, “This memorandum of understanding reflects our commitment to expanding access to quality education and creating meaningful opportunities for students to achieve their academic aspirations.

“Through our collaboration with the Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services, we aim to empower sponsored students by providing the support they need to pursue higher education while contributing to the development of highly qualified graduates who support Qatar’s national priorities and future aspirations.”

Chief Executive Officer of Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services, Dr. Ayedh bin Dabsan Al-Qahtani, said, “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to investing in people through education and empowering young individuals to realise their full potential.

“By supporting sponsored students throughout their academic journey, we seek to create lasting opportunities that contribute to building capable generations equipped to serve their communities and support Qatar’s continued development.”

The MoU further strengthens cooperation between the two institutions and reflects their mutual commitment to supporting education, human development, and social responsibility by expanding educational opportunities and empowering students to build a brighter future through knowledge and lifelong learning.
