Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality has ordered the temporary administrative closure of three food establishments in Qatar during the month of March, due to violations of applicable food safety laws and regulations.
Gorkha Meat Trading Company, located in Al Shahaniya Municipality, was ordered to undergo a full closure for 14 days starting March 26, 2026, for trading packaged food products without displaying the mandatory information required by law on the labeling.
The Ministry also ordered the closure of Variety Tea One Restaurant in Al Shahaniya Municipality for five days, starting March 26, 2026, for offering food unfit for human consumption.
Al Wahid Restaurant, located in Al Shahaniya Municipality, was ordered to close for a period of three days starting March 10, 2026, for preparing food under unsanitary conditions, in violation of approved health and hygiene requirements.
These closures were issued as part of the Ministry’s ongoing inspection and enforcement campaigns aimed at ensuring compliance with food safety standards, safeguarding public health, and maintaining the quality of food products in the local market.
