Doha: Minister of National Defence of Turkey H E Hulusi Akar stressed the importance of Doha Forum and the role it plays in converging views and explaining many international issues, expressing his hope that the conferees in Doha would come up with perceptions and solutions to the various issues the world is going through.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Akar said that the Turkish participation in the Doha Forum confirms the depth of the brotherly relations that unite Turkey with Qatar.
Commenting on a question about his country’s mediation role in the Russian-Ukrainian war and the progress recorded in this field, he said that Turkey is closely following the developments between the two sides and is making great efforts to mediate between the two parties, adding,
“We hope that we will reach positive results soon.”
