San Carlo Group, in collaboration with Al Jaber Hospitality and Catering Group, has opened a branch of Cicchetti in Qatar. The opening was attended by the Italian ambassador to Doha, Guido De Sanctis.
A franchise agreement had been signed between San Carlo Group and Al Jaber Hospitality and Catering Group to bring Cicchetti to Qatar.
“We are very excited and pleased to be partners in success with San Carlo Group. There’s no doubt that Cicchetti is one of the most renowned authentic Italian restaurant chains in the world, and now people in Qatar can enjoy what Cicchetti has to offer in Doha itself,” said Mohamed Al Jaber, CEO, Al Jaber Hospitality and Catering Group.
Marcello Distefano , Managing Director,  San Carlo Group, said: “It was a dream of ours to bring Cicchetti to Qatar, a metropolitan country that truly appreciates authentic Italian cuisine and luxury.”
At the launch ceremony, the Italian Ambassador praised the restaurant’s high-end décor and design, and expressed his happiness with restaurant’s distinctive character and flair.
Cicchetti, a 150-cover authentic Italian restaurant, is located in The Shoumoukh Towers, Al Sadd. The location allows the patrons to enjoy a commanding view of Doha.
“We advised our partners to select The Shoumoukh Towers as the home for Cicchetti. The towers are located in Al Sadd, the heart of the city,” said Al Jaber.
The family friendly restaurant successfully re-interprets the Venetian tradition of Cicchetti, which like tapas, are small plate dishes that are meant to be shared or to be enjoyed alone. Cicchetti’s expertly crafted menu boasts exquisite culinary choices that are meant to leave you asking for more.
“We are always keen on serving our guests with the most authentic Italian dishes, made with freshly imported ingredients and nothing less. We import everything, from Sicilian tomatoes to Canadian Lobster. We pride ourselves on serving high quality food and we like to uphold that tradition,” expressed Distefano.
The diners have a variety of choices from breakfast, main-course or afternoon tea menu and an in-house bakery the serves freshly made bread, cakes and pastries.
Besides offering stylish all-day dining, the two-story restaurant boasts with opulently sophisticated, Italian, art-deco-lite Decor. With bespoke seating hand-crafted in Italy and seemingly floating chandeliers, set against huge expanses of light grey, craved Italian Marble, Cicchetti creates a luxurious experience.
“Not only are we keen on creating authentic dishes for our diners, we also like to create an authentic experience for them,” Distefano said. The top floor of the restaurant hosts two areas for private parties and business lunches.
