Doha: The General Traffic Department, represented by the Investigations Section of the Traffic Patrols and Investigation Department, seized a vehicle on Monday while it was been driven without number plates.
According to a post on the department’s official Twitter handle, the latest incident is a continuation of its efforts to control traffic.
"Legal action was taken against the driver," the tweet indicated.

The Department calls on all motorists to abide by the traffic law and its regulations.
It will be recalled that the traffic department seized a number of vehicles driven without license plates on Salwa Road some days ago.
The vehicles have been impounded, and legal measures were also taken against their drivers.
According to Qatari laws, driving without a license plate attracts a minimum QR3000 fine and three points.
Loss or damage to a vehicle's license plate must be reported to the Traffic Department as soon as possible, and any loss or damage outside Qatar should be reported to the closest Qatari diplomatic mission.
