Children engage in an activity at the Summer Camp.
QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, organises the “Sustainability Arts Summer Camp” in the edutainment city of KidZania Doha, the multi-award-winning edutainment concept, as part of its initiatives designed to engage children in sustainability practices connected to their everyday lives until August 25.
The organisation of this summer camp event, which is designed for children aged 4-14 years, comes within the Bank’s corporate sustainability and responsibility strategy and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event also aims to help them gain sustainability knowledge and improve their financial skills through various fun activities and camp experiences.
QNB will organise weekly lectures to teach young participants about the three important money management principles of saving, spending, and sharing.
During this amazing summer experience, kids will also enjoy daily different artistic classes and creative and engaging activities, and a do-it-yourself contest where children will imagine and create their own model of money box made from recyclable materials.
QNB will award weekly prizes for the design object, which best uses reclaimed waste materials to form a functional coin, emphasising creativity and innovation.
Abdullah Mohammed Arbabi, Senior Manager – CSR of QNB Groups said: “Children of today are leaders of tomorrow. QNB is excited to provide this unique event to foster connection among children towards a prosperous and sustainable future for all. Introducing participants to using recycled materials to create art and learning about money and financial literacy can improve their creativity and problem-solving skills.”
