Gaza: Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee H E Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland at the Qatari Committee headquarters in Gaza yesterday.
Ambassador Al Emadi and Wennesland discussed the developments in the humanitarian and field conditions in the Palestinian territories, stressing the continuation of the efforts by Qatar to calm the situation and stand by the Palestinian people.
The two parties also discussed ways of joint cooperation to avoid the deterioration of the field situation, ways to maintain calm in the region, and mechanisms for an immediate halt to any provocative measures that might drag the region towards escalation.
