Doha: The Board of Directors of the Workers Support and Insurance Fund held its first meeting for the year 2023. H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, chaired the meeting.
The meeting discussed a number of issues on its agenda, and look over various decisions and recommendations to further develop the fund’s performance and effectiveness, thus contributing to enhancing work environment.
The Workers Support and Insurance Fund, which was established under Law No 17 of the year 2018, aims to support, secure and care for labourers, guarantee their rights and provide them with a healthy and safe work environment.
