Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited Khalifa International Stadium and Aspire Zone this morning.
During the visit, the Amir was briefed on the preparations to host the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019, to be held from September 27 to October 6.
He then toured various facilities and areas designated to serve the participants and visitors of the tournament, including the entry areas of players and centers designated for media and volunteers.
The Amir was accompanied during the visit by President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and Chairman of Higher Organizing Committee of IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani and number of committee officials.
