Qatar Chamber officials and staff during the Chamber’s National Day celebration in Doha recently.
Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) recently organised an event for its staff to celebrate Qatar’s National Day in the presence of QC General Manager Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi and directors of departments and sections.
The event provided an opportunity to recall the great achievements made by the State of Qatar and the achievements made by the Chamber particularly.
On the occasion, QC Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, on behalf of the private sector and the Chamber’s staff, extended his the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani.
Sheikh Khalifa said the National Day is a glorious national occasion and a day of pride and dignity to all residents, emphasising that it is an opportunity to confirm belongingness and loyalty to the State of Qatar and its wise leadership and the residents’ confidence in the State’s ability to overcome all challenges.
Elaborating on Qatar’s success in combating crises, Sheikh Khalifa reiterated that the country has succeeded in overcoming the blockade with all its repercussions. He added that Qatar was able to confront the COVID-19 crisis thanks to its sound policies and strategies.
He also pointed out that Qatar has preserved the principles and noble values established by the founder, assuring that only its belief in these values and the solidarity with the wise leadership enabled the country to remain steadfast against crises and challenges.
“Qatar’s adoption of these values and principles has placed it in a leading global position, emerging as a model example of the values of respect, justice, peace, cooperation and support for the oppressed and needy, and other noble values,” he stressed.
QC Board Member Dr Khalid bin Klefeekh Al Hajri said the National Day is a precious occasion to celebrate the accomplishments of the State in all fields, including economy and politics. He added that the Qatari economy has made great strides within the past few years and has become one of the world’s fasting growing economies.
Underscoring Qatar’s success in combating the blockade, Al Hajri said that Qatar not only has managed to overcome the blockade but also transformed its impacts into benefits, indicating that the siege was an impetus for Qatari investors to expand their investments in the industry sector and increase productivity in a way that supports the local market and decrease import from abroad.
Addressing the Chamber’s staff, Al Sharqi highlighted the Chamber’s achievements this year, as well as the services it has developed for its members, He said the Chamber will witness a quantum leap in the coming year in terms of work mechanisms through the development of electronic programmes that will streamline transactions and decrease paper use. He also underscored the Chamber’s partnerships with ministries and government entities in the country.
