Kuwait envoy: Kuwaiti-Qatari relations are full of bright landmarks throughout history

Doha: Ambassador of Kuwait to Qatar, H E Hafiz Mohammed Al Ajmi (pictured) stressed that the Kuwaiti-Qatari relations are full of bright landmarks throughout their ancient and modern history as the bonds of kinship between the two people have merged on an honorable path in Gulf, Arab and international relations. 

The Ambassador said in statements to QNA on the occasion of Qatar National Day, that the relationship between the two countries does not stop at borders or proximity, but rather it is characterized by the distinctiveness and integration of fate due to kinship, lineage, common goals and continuous development, which transcends the limits of diplomacy. 

This relationship is reinforced by the wisdom and vision of Amir of Kuwai H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, and Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani who placed the building blocks for strengthening these relations, moved them to the path of development and supported them in all fields to serve the people of both countries. 

He affirmed that the great achievements made by the State of Qatar in infrastructure is admirable, adding that Qatar’s hosting of the biggest sporting event in 2022 is a source of joy to everyone. He also pointed out that Qatar’s hosting of the Gulf Cup 24 reflected the extent of creativity and accomplishment achieved by Qatar in this event, which caught the world’s attention and appreciation for its organization. 

H E Hafiz Mohammed Al Ajmi congratulated, on the behalf of the Kuwaiti embassy, Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad AlThani; Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa AlThani; Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad AlThani and the Qatari people on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar. He affirmed that Qatar is among the high ranks of modern and developed countries thanks to the wise vision of the leadership. 

He pointed out that the Qatari people are united like one body every year on the National Day to commemorate the memory of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani in order to show their loyalty and express their affiliation and gratitude to the righteous predecessors, adding that the State of Qatar became a single entity and an independent country by the grace of God and the consecutive leadership of the Al Thani family. 

He stated that this occasion adds glory to the Qatari people, as it is a valuable opportunity that allows modern generations to learn about their roots and the honourable visions and glories of their ancestors.
