Justice Ministry lists real estate use areas for non-Qataris

Doha: Ministry of Justice listed the 16 areas in Qatar under the usufructuary law for non-Qatari residents in the country.

Usufructuary laws refer to legal rights that allow non-residents the right to use and benefit from a property that belongs to another person.

The areas of interest for non-Qatari residents are in Mshereib (13), Fereej Abdul Aziz (14), Al Doha Aljadeeda (15), Old Al Ghanim (16), Al Rufaa and Old Al Hitmi (17), Al Salata (18), Fereej Bin Mahmoud (22), Fereej Bin Mahmoud (23), Rawdat Al Khail (24), Al Mansoura and Fereej Bin Durham (25), Najma (26), Um Ghuwailina (27), Al Khulaifat (28), Al Sadd (38), Al Mirqab Al Jadeed and Fereej Al Nasr (39), and the Doha
International Airport Area (48).

Privileges awarded under this law to non-Qataris are divided into two categories:

The first category on property purchase of no less than 3,650,000 Qatari riyals will receive permanent residency card holders benefits that include health care, education and investment, provided that the buyer resides in the country for no less than 90 days a year either intermittent or continuous.

The second category on property purchase of no less than 730, 000 riyals grants residency without the need for a sponsor, with the same 90 days continuous residency clause.
