Doha: The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT) and the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the fight against human trafficking and facilitate the exchange of expertise and relevant information.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour and Chair of NCCHT, and Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, President of the SJC and President of the Court of Cassation.
This agreement aims to enhance joint efforts and establish a comprehensive framework that supports both national and international initiatives to combat human trafficking and protect the rights of victims. It aligns with the best judicial and administrative practices, as well as applicable laws, regional agreements, and international treaties.
The agreement also aims to foster enhanced coordination among judicial, governmental, and relevant organizations.
