Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour has reminded employers and workers to strictly adhere to Qatar’s summer working hours regulation as high temperatures continue across the country.
In a social media post, the ministry said regulating working hours helps reduce direct exposure to high temperatures and protects workers’ health during the summer months.
The Ministry urged everyone to follow occupational safety measures to reduce the risk of heat stress.
Under the regulation, outdoor work is permitted before 10am, while work under direct sunlight is prohibited from 10am to 3:30pm and work may resume after 3:30pm.
The ministry emphasised that complying with the prohibited working hours is essential to reducing heat-related illnesses and maintaining occupational safety and health.
The outdoor work ban remains in effect from June 1 to September 15.
