Putin to visit Tehran next week to meet with Iranian and Turkish counterparts

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to make a foreign trip to meet his Iranian and Turkish counterparts, according to the Kremlin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin will travel to Tehran next Tuesday to attend a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Iran and Turkey, President Ebrahim Raisi and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan respectively.

Peskov told reporters that work is now underway to prepare for Putin's visit to Tehran, where a meeting of the heads of the guarantor states of the Astana process will be held there.

A bilateral meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is also scheduled, Peskov added.
