Doha: Read Pakistan Qatar chapter has hosted its first book club event emphasising the importance of reading the books amongst the children at TNG school.
The event was directed and hosted by Uzma Ansari. Importance of books in our life was conveyed by Farzana Safder. She described the benefits of reading books to children.
The children who read different books were Ayesha Mushtaq , Zakariya Nadeem, Kibriya Nadeem, Sajjad Ayaz and Usman Sabir.
Huma Mirza read the story book “Chicken Licken” which was liked by kids very much. The Children participated attentively. At the end of the story, some questions were asked, which were answered by kids actively. There was also a segment of drawing and sketching.
Children loved to draw their favourite cartoon characters. At the end of the events, gifts were distributed among the kids.
President of Read Pakistan-Qatar Chapter, Shahida Khan thanked all the parents, kids and organising team of Read Pakistan Qatar for such wonderful efforts for this amazing event. She also thanked the CEO of TNG school Shagufta Bakali for providing the school’s hall and facilities for the event.
She highlighted the importance of reading the books. She stressed the parents to play their role to make new generation habitual of not only reading textbooks but also other informative books by accessing their schools & local libraries.
