Doha, Qatar: Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, H. E. Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, met with Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, H. E. Gen. Fabien Mandon.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of joint military cooperation and ways to further develop them across various fields, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
The meeting witnessed the signing of the outcomes of the 27th session of the Qatari–French Supreme Military Committee, in addition to the signing of a Letter of Intent aimed at enhancing future military cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces was awarded the Legion of Honour, at the rank of Commander, by the French Republic, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in supporting and strengthening military cooperation relations between the two countries.
This meeting followed a preparatory meeting held by the heads of the military international cooperation authorities in both countries, which contributed to preparing and discussing the topics included on the agenda of the Chiefs of Staff meeting.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers from both sides.
