Khartoum: Sudanese Health Minister, H E Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, praised the roles of the State of Qatar in supporting health sector in Sudan, foremost of which the continuous support to develop and enhance the health institutions in all its aspects.
In statements published yesterday, he indicated that the process of executing Al Attiyah Hospital project, which is being implemented by Qatar Charity in Omdurman, is one of the white hands of Qatar.
The Minister listed the importance of this hospital as one of the prominent health landmarks in Khartoum, pointing out that it will contribute to mitigate the pressure on service outlets in the center of Al Khartoum.
The Director of Qatar Charity office in Sudan, Eng. Omer AbdulAziz, emphasized that the project of Al Attiyah Hospital is one of a series projects by Qatar Charity to support the health sector in Sudan, as part of its constant support to execute qualitative and development projects to serve the neediest people in different cities of Sudan.
He explained that the total cost of the hospital is QR10m as the largest hospital of its kind in the region, pointing out that it will provide obstetrics and gynaecology services, and it has a dialysis center, a complex for surgical operations and intensive care, in addition to diagnostic radiology services, and emergency services according to the latest systems, stressing that construction work is progressing well and as planned.
