Doha, Qatar: The Land Customs Department has foiled an attempt to smuggle 24.39 grams of hashish and methamphetamine (shabu), along with 30 Lyrica pills, through the Abu Samra border crossing.
The General Authority of Customs said the seizure followed a customs inspector's suspicion of a passenger arriving through the land border crossing.
The passenger's vehicle was subjected to a thorough inspection, while the passenger underwent a personal search.
