Doha: A smuggling attempt of narcotic substances was foiled by the Land Customs authorities at the Abu Samra border port.
Customs announced that it has foiled the smuggling of 12.30 grams of hashish, 41 capsules of Lyrica pills, and 3 narcotic pills.
In several photos shared on social media, it further stated that the banned substances were found inside the car during the inspection.
Accordingly, a seizure report was issued and referred to authorities in the country.
The Customs Department has been warning against bringing illegal goods into the country. They are equipped with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
