Doha: The proceedings of the Senior Officials Meeting preparatory to the 5th session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers (ICYSM) were held yesterday in Jeddah with the participation of Qatar.
Advisor to Minister of Sports and Youth H E Abdulrahman bin Musallam Al Dosari represented Qatar in the meeting.
The ministerial meeting is slated to be held today under the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Under the slogan of ‘development of youths and sports to build a consolidated ummah (nation)’, the conference will address the challenges facing the OIC Member States in terms of youth empowerment, as well as means to further enhance inter-organisational cooperation for the implementation of the OIC strategy concerned with the youth.
