Doha: Turkish art, music, folk dance, food, Islamic calligraphy workshop, culture and history will be showcased at the first Turkish Festival which opens at Katara on Wednesday.
The four-day event at Building 3, Katara Esplanade, aims to promote Turkish culture, history and its modern aspects based on bonds between Qatar and Turkey, a Katara synopsis of the programme said.
The Turkish embassy said a Turk F16 airshow will open the festival at 4pm. The event includes ‘Sliding Doors on a Hidden Threshold’ from 7.30pm to 10pm.
