Doha: Dar Al Sharq received Javier Monzón, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ‘PRISA’ during his visit to the country. PRISA company is considered as one of the largest media companies in Spain and publishes a number of reputed newspapers and magazines like AS, as well as owns several radio and television channels.
On this occasion, Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani Al Thani, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al Sharq Group, hosted a dinner in the presence of Spain’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Belen Alfaro; Walid Al Saadi, Special Advisor; Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Mahmoud, CEO of Dar Al Sharq, and Sadiq Mohammad Al Amari, Editor-in-Chief of Al Sharq.

During the meeting, they discussed significant development in Qatar since Monzón’s last visit to the region 12 years ago. He expressed his admiration for Qatar’s progress, development and country’s readiness to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
They also discussed the possibility of using Spanish and Qatari expertise for direct investment between the two parties. Monzón had visited Al Sharq headquarters recently where he was received by Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Mahmoud and briefed him about Dar Al Sharq Group and its subsidiaries. Monzón showed his admiration for the great development witnessed by Al Sharq and it services in the field of media and advertising.
The two sides also discussed ways of further strengthening partnership and cooperation. During the meeting, Monzón was given a commemorative gift to appreciate his visit.
