Doha, Qatar: The School of Economy, Administration and Public Policy SEAPP at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies DI organized orientation days for the newly admitted students of the three master executive programs of Public Administration, Dual Degree of Business Administration EMBA and Public Administration EMPA, and Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation. The event was hosted by Dr. Abdel Wahab Al-Affandi, the president of the DI, HE Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Horr, the Director of the Diplomatic Institute, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Ayhab Saad, The dean of SEAPP. The day was also attended by the chairs of the three executive programs: Dr. Marwan Qablan, Head of the executive program in Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation, Dr. Faisal AlMansouri, Head of the executive program in Public Administration, and the Head of the dual executive program, Dr. Zoltan Antal-Mokos representing the European Institute of Management and Technology ESMT Berlin.

Dr. Al-Affandi gave a welcoming speech to all the new students of the executive programs wishing them a successful academic experience at DI. He explained that the executive programs provide a great academic contribution that clearly serves the Qatar National Vision 2030 and that the students of the programs will have a vital role in supporting human knowledge and developing the organizations they work in.

From his side, HE Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Horr congratulated the students of the fourth cohort of the Executive master’s program in Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation at the DI for being part of this program, and wished them the best of luck in their journey. He pointed out that after obtaining the master’s degree, the graduates should reflect on the value they gained from this degree and the skills and tools they acquired. Putting in mind that the degree requires a great deal of commitment and hard work, and will help the students gain new skills in the diplomatic field.

The Dean of SEAPP, Dr Ayhab Saad, addressed the students saying : (We are proud of you and how far you have reached in your education path, which is obviously a result of your efforts and ambitions.) He added (You are in the right place! We expect a lot from you, and we believe that you will have a positive impact on serving the community.)

Dr. Faisal Al Mansouri added in his welcome remark that joining the Public Administration executive program will add a lot to the students on the academic and professional levels.

While Dr Zoltan Antal-Mokos gave a brief about the European Institute of Management and Technology, the quality of its programs and the accreditations they have obtained pointing out that the collaboration between the DI and the ESMT has resulted in this unique program.

The orientation took place on the 2nd and 3rd of September and was attended by 38 students from the three executive programs, 15 from the Public Administration executive program, 10 from the dual executive program and 13 from the Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation executive program, where the students were introduced to the programs in details covering the study plan, the offered courses and other policies and procedures that can help them fitting in the academic atmosphere easily and smoothly.
