Beirut: Two people were killed on Friday when an Israeli occupation warplane struck a motorcycle in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.

The strike targeted the motorcycle near the Engineers' Syndicate building in the city of Nabatieh, killing both people on board.

Israeli forces also carried out explosions in several villages in the Bint Jbeil district, while artillery fire targeted the town of Bani Hayyan.

The latest incidents come amid continuing tensions along Lebanon's southern border, with concerns that the violence could escalate and further affect residential areas.
