Doha: Qatar participated in the 6th Ministerial Conference of the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF), being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Qatar's delegation to the meeting headed by HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada.
Senior energy and environmental officials and experts from 22 countries are in attendance at CSLF which is taking place one month ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 21) in Paris. The event is a ministerial-level international climate change initiative focused on the development of improved, cost-effective technologies for the separation and capture of carbon dioxide (CO2) for its transport, utilization and long-term safe storage.
The Qatari delegation is also set to participate in the 41st meeting of GCC industrial cooperation committee which will kick off tomorrow in Riyadh.
