Burriam, Thailand: Qatar rider Hamad Al Sahouti finished 13th in Race 1 of the sixth round of the Asia Talent Cup at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, yesterday, but managed retain the third spot in the Championship standings ahead of today’s Race 2.
Starting from the 11th spot in the grid, the young rider completed the 72.864 km race in 29’24.012 with a top speed of 148.7kmh.
Al Sahouti was 22.427 secs adrift of yesterday’s winner Hakim Danish of Malaysia who claimed his third win of the season to retake the Championship lead. Indonesia’s Veda Ega Pratama and Japan’s Gun Mie rounded out the podium in Race 1, held on the sidelines of the Thailand Grand Prix.
Race 2 will take place this morning.
