Qatar’s first-ever LEGO Festival opened at Doha Festival City on Tuesday attracting people of all ages who enjoyed fun activities while exploring their creativity and imagination.

The varied themed zones at the festival, which runs until September 17, provided families and children activities that hone their cognitive and motor skills such as building objects using LEGO pieces.

“We are incredibly excited to host Qatar’s first LEGO Festival. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to interact with our guests through igniting our guests’ Imagination, by giving them  a fun experience where families can engage with what the LEGO Brand values in a creative way, in a caring environment by learning  through a quality product such as LEGO. Doha Festival City looks forward to welcoming all visitors from different ages to the LEGO Festival,” said Robert Hall, General Manager.

The festival features different LEGO activities in four different zones spread across Doha Festival City and has a variety of experiences from creative brick building to instructed challenges and physical activities for visitors to engage with.

At the LEGO Friends Zone, located in the atrium node at ground floor, participants can meet and engage with five exploring, creative, funny and quirky characters namely Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie. The activity also features a photo booth, a silent disco and a creative station where visitors are instructed how to create a LEGO heart that to be added to a giant heart display, growing over time, leaving a piece of their LEGO heart in Festival City.

The LEGO Duplo activity, located in the centre court at the ground floor, caters for the youngest of visitors and lets them unleash their potential, learn through play and engage with their family. Toddlers can build pits, build tables, and a Duplo train all set in a park-themed set up.

The more experienced builders can head to LEGO Technic + Architecture also located in the Centre court at the ground floor where they get to experience building and racing LEGO cars as well as add to the ever-growing LEGO skyline with their own skyscraper tower. They can also take a picture on the podium with the LEGO Champions Cup.

Visitors can experience a LEGO zoo with life-size forms of several animals at the LEGO Jungle activity located at the Centre court on the first floor.

LEGO Ninjago, located at the entertainment node, tests guests’ abilities to tame the Dragons and become a master, take on the Ninjago challenges, or perfect their building skills in the brick arena. Designed for kids who love adventure, this zone allows the Ninjago theme to come to life with a rustic ninja backdrop, dojo for training and huts for Dragon challenges.

The Lego activities are free of charge for Doha Festival City shoppers. Registration desks are available in each activity area open from 2pm and 10pm daily until September 17.
