Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour urged parents and students to take simple precautions against heat stress as children return to school amid high temperatures.
In an awareness message shared on social media, the Ministry stressed that protecting children from the heat is a shared responsibility, advising families to ensure children begin their day well hydrated and understand the importance of avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

“Make sure their day starts with water, and educate your children on the importance of avoiding standing under direct sunlight as much as possible,” the Ministry said.

The accompanying awareness campaign, issued in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, advises students waiting for school buses to avoid direct sunlight, remain in shaded areas and drink water regularly to keep their bodies hydrated.

The Ministry said these simple measures can help ensure that the return to school is an energetic and safe start while reducing the risks associated with heat stress.
The campaign carries the message: “Heat fades… Safety stays.”
