Doha: Qatar Football Association’s (QFA) Director of Marketing and Communications Khaled Mubarak Al Kuwari yesterday held a virtual meeting with officials of the clubs that have qualified for the Round of 16 of the 50th edition of the Amir Cup which begins on February 13.
The meeting discussed the media and marketing aspects related to the championship ties and the attendees also discussed many proposals for activating the media and marketing side for delivery of the championship in the best way possible.
The importance of media coverage and existing cooperation was discussed, especially in light of the circumstances due to coronavirus pandemic and the application of the MOPH's precautionary measures during the championship.
The officials also looked at facilitating the media, the coverage of clubs’ training and matches, also through social media platforms.
With regard to marketing and media matters, the attendees discussed many proposals for activating the role of clubs, in addition to the need to interact with fans.
Al Kuwari emphasised by saying, “We always strive to enhance our success by redoubling our efforts.”
He also thanked the representatives of the clubs participating in the Amir Cup for the 2021-2022 season, and hoped that everyone would witness distinguished levels in the exceptional 50th edition.
He said: “The good thing about the Amir Cup system is that it throws up surprises as it was in previous stages of the past editions. We hope that the competition will continue with this enthusiasm and excitement in a footballing forum that deserves all our attention.”
He added: “The matches are expected to balanced with expectations of excitement and we wish everyone success.”
