The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic H E Chyngyz Eshimbekov highlighted the strength of bilateral ties with the State of Qatar, and the two countries’ commitment to its enhancement in different fields.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), he said that the Kyrgyz Republic and State of Qatar have made quite a breakthrough raising bilateral cooperation level, establishing embassies in both countries, signing fundamental treaties to enhance cooperation in trade and investments, making good efforts to bring about entrepreneurs from both sides and exploring business opportunities. He noted that the COVID-19 pandemic halted bilateral exchange and trading opportunities to some extent, but maintained his expectation of a positive trajectory since there are signs that Kyrgyz economy is reviving from last years downturn and that Qatars economy is demonstrating speedy growth and successful recovery from the impact of pandemic.
He highlighted that Kyrgyzstan are making consolidated efforts to further enlarge and liberalize the economic base by initiating new projects in the field of renewable energy, mining, food security, IT and tourism infrastructure that should lift up overall growth.
