Qatar achieves rapid developments, successes: Minister of Justice

Doha: Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi has affirmed that the celebration of the National Day is a dear occasion to our hearts.

The Minister said that the day comes this year amidst rapid developments and successes that enhance Qatar’s achievements in various fields in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, and consolidate the building of a state of law and institutions thanks to the wise leadership and sound visions of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency on the occasion of the National Day, the Minister of Justice said that this year’s slogan, ‘We praise you, the Lord of the Throne’ embodies the meanings, values and virtuous morals that are inspired by the poems of the founder of the State of Qatar.

He added that Qatar’s wise leadership inspired the lofty principles and noble values established by the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, who the rulers of Qatar followed him, stressing that this strengthened the State of Qatar’s position in its regional and global surroundings.

He pointed out that holding the Shura Council’s elections for the first time in the State’s history in October of next year is an important step that will consolidate active popular participation in the management of the country’s affairs by people’s representatives.

Moreover, the Minister said that the Ministry of Justice has prepared a strategic plan for the period 2020-22, including 35 projects in various fields related to supervising the practice of legal professions, ensuring the provision of accurate and high-quality online services to all citizens and residents.

He indicated that the Ministry of Justice has made tangible achievements in the field of modernisation and development of legal professions, as executive decisions have been issued for the laws in force in the fields of real estate brokerage and the work of expertise, and Qatari cadre has been qualified to move the legal work to wider horizons.

The Minister noted that about 139 experts in various fields have been registered, and emphasis was placed on the subtle and rare specialities that have emerged with the expansion and development of society, adding that these young and qualified cadres practice their duties today with professionalism and responsibility before the courts. In addition, more than 200 real estate brokers have been registered, he said,

The Minister also referred to the Ministry’s launch of e-Case Management System, which aims at improving the services of managing state cases for the benefit of various government entities. He indicated that a plan for digital transformation will be implemented according to which all the Ministry’s services will be converted into 100% electronic services, except for transactions related to their legal nature that require the presence of the concerned person to ensure his rights and properties in accordance with the followed legal procedures.

On the occasion of the National Day, H E Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs congratulated Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and the people and residents of the State of Qatar.
