Doha: Acting Chargé d’affaires of the Albanian Embassy in Doha, Kujtim Xhani praised the development of bilateral relations between his country and the State of Qatar thanks to the strong ties, common will, and ambition, supported by a full legal framework with agreements and memoranda of cooperation in all fields.
He said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar National Day that the development and distinction of bilateral relations coincide with an exchange of high-level delegations between the two countries, which culminated in April 2019, when the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama paid a visit to Qatar, where he met with the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Xhani expressed his congratulations to the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the government and people of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day, wishing further progress and development for Qatar and the bilateral relations further development.
He also commended Qatar’s initiative to provide unlimited medical aid to Albania to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that these aids were appreciated in these difficult times. He expressed gratitude for the assistance and strong support provided by the State of Qatar to Albania during the strong earthquake of November 26, 2019, and in the reconstruction of the most affected areas by the earthquake, which is still going on.
On the other hand, the Acting Chargé d’Affaires hailed the State of Qatar’s handling of the pandemic and its multifaceted challenges in various sectors of society. The efforts made by the State of Qatar in facing these challenges, whether within its borders or outside, have shown the extent of its resilience in these difficult times, while the health system in Qatar has proven its effectiveness in this global battle against the coronavirus, he said.
He pointed out that the State of Qatar is appreciated by the people of Albania and the world for the contributions and assistance it provides to foreign countries and its efforts in global cooperation to address the pandemic.
He stressed that this made Qatar more impressive, given its continued success in withstanding the unjustly imposed blockade’s pressures.
