Doha: Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Lebanon in Qatar Farah Berri hailed her country’s relations with the State of Qatar, which is based on an extended history full of many positions and stages that make it a model in the strong and distinct fraternal relations, noting that the leaders of the two countries have established in recent decades the principles and foundations of this solid relationship to remain in continuous development.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day, Charge d’Affaires Farah noted Qatar’s honourable positions and initiatives that occupied a prominent place in the hearts of the Lebanese, as its white hands cover the entire area of Lebanon, from its south to its north, without distinction or discrimination between its people.

The State of Qatar is at the forefront of countries contributing to the support and assistance of Lebanon, she said, adding that Qatar is the first to provide moral, material and political support and stood by Lebanon in all regional and international forums.
If Qatar’s historic stand by Lebanon’s side during the Israeli aggression in 2006 is eternal in memory, the Lebanese will not forget how Qatar saved Lebanon from falling into devastating sedition when it took the initiative in 2008 to bring together the leaders of Lebanon and its party leaders and hosted them in the National Dialogue Conference that resulted in Doha Agreement, Berri added.
She pointed out that this distinguished march of relations was directed by Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and said that her country will not forget how His Highness broke the boycott of the Arab Economic Summit in Beirut in 2019, as his presence had a great impact on its convening and its success.
On behalf of the embassy and the Lebanese community in Doha, Farah Berri congratulated Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the occasion of the National Day, wishing Qatar and its people continued progress, prosperity and stability, noting that the celebration of the National Day is a dear occasion that embodies the values of authenticity, which Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani instilled in Qatari society.
