Qatar is heading into a spell of sporting activity, with international events set to complement domestic action. From desert rallying and padel to MotoGP, Formula 1 and youth football, the calendar offers variety. With the Qatar Stars League, horse racing and Hathab showjumping continuing, there will be plenty of sporting entertainment.
The action begins with the Qatar International Baja from October 28 to 31, bringing drivers and riders to the desert for the penultimate rounds of the FIA World and Middle East Baja Cups and round five of the FIM Bajas World Cup.
November brings the FIP Padel World Cup Qatar 2026, from November 2 to 7 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. Qatar will draw confidence from winning the men’s padel gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, where the sport made its debut.
Motorsport fans have two major dates to mark. Lusail International Circuit hosts the MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix from November 6 to 8 before welcoming Formula 1 from November 27 to 29. The gap keeps the spotlight on one of Qatar’s flagship venues.
Youth football takes centre stage from November 19, when the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026 begins at Aspire Zone. Football continues into December with Qatar hosting the final three matches of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup on December 9, 12 and 16 for the third consecutive year. The competition brings continental champions together to decide the 2026 club champion, with Paris Saint-Germain returning directly to the final after defending their UEFA Champions League title.
Qatar’s national team will play Australia and the Republic of Korea in Doha on November 13 and 17 before facing Saudi Arabia in Al Khobar on December 27. Fans can follow domestic football and equestrian sport before turning to motorsport, padel and international football. For Qatar, these weeks are an opportunity to sustain sporting momentum and give fans more reasons to follow the action.
