With the rise of the extremist right-wing forces in Israel over the past two decades, the chances of peace in occupied Palestine are fading away every day, as the Zionist entity does not see any solution except to eliminate the existence of the Palestinians and expel them from their homeland. No doubt that the occupying forces looks at things short-sighted, and has become arrogant about its military.
In the occupied West Bank, there are daily Israeli incursions, practices which have become the norm that leads death of tens of Palestinians on daily basis.
Last year alone more than 146 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank, the deadliest year since the United Nations began recording fatalities in 2005. With the new Israeli far-right government controlling power since January, 2023 is on track to be even more deadly, with at least 60 Palestinians killed in less than two months, as the extremist government has intensified operations against Palestinians.
The Israeli occupation forces strikes on Wednesday led to another massacre in the city of Nablus, where 11 Palestinians were killed and over 100 were injured. The raid comes barely a month after 10 Palestinians were killed in a similar raid in the Jenin refugee camp about 41km away.
According to an Al Jazeera report, Jenin and Nablus, which have emerged as the centres of limited armed Palestinian resistance, have become the scenes of increased deadly Israeli attacks. It added that among the victims of Wednesday’s raids were three elderly men and a 16-year-old boy, while hundreds of others suffered tear gas inhalation.
Yesterday, Qatar strongly condemned and denounced the Israeli occupation forces’ aggressive action, considering it an extension of its continuous and systematic crimes against the Palestinian people, and its flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy.
The Minister of Labor H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri stressed the firm stance in support of the Palestinian people until they regain all their legitimate rights, out of Qatar’s belief in their just cause and in fulfillment of its moral responsibility that requires standing by justice and supporting the oppressed. The Minister indicated that Qatar is well aware of the sufferings of the fraternal Palestinians from the unjust decisions and measures made by the occupation over the past 70 years. He was speaking at a meeting organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Labor, ILO, ALO, and the German government in Amman, to find effective mechanisms to create job opportunities for Palestinian men and women during the coming years.
Qatar has a firm stance on the just Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
