Qatar Airways continues to make country proud by growing its operations and network, even at these difficult times when other airlines are struggling. The awardwinning flag carrier of Qatar has consolidated its position as the world’s largest carrier. Qatar Airways recently revealed that it had flown over 70 million kilometres to take home over 2 million passengers on more than 17,000 flights during the crisis.

The figures show a significant improvement in Qatar Airways’ performance. On June 2 this year, the airline had announced it became the largest carrier in the world flying over 50 million kilometres to repatriate over 1.8 million passengers on more than 15,000 flights during the crisis.

Growing passenger numbers reflect that more people are relying on Qatar Airways for international travel than any other airline. Qatar Airways is one of the few global airlines to have never stopped flying throughout this crisis.

The airline’s mix of modern fuel-efficient aircraft helped it to develop a sustainable and adapted solution, allowing it to continue flying routes with less overall demand as it has a variety of aircraft it can select from to offer the right capacity in each market. It also recently announced ‘1 Million Kilos’ campaign to help alleviate the suffering of people struggling with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in different parts of the world. In the first-of-its-kind initiative, the world’s best airline will carry one million kilos of humanitarian supplies all over the world, free of charge.

Qatar Airways continues to set new benchmark in air travel safety. The multiple award-winning airline announced to further enhance safety measures. It introduced these additional safety measures onboard our flights to ensure the continued health and wellbeing of our passengers and cabin crew, and to limit the spread of coronavirus. The airline’s additional robust measures include offering face shields and protective kits to all passengers, in addition to a new protective gown for cabin crew. The disposable face shield will be available in two standard sizes – one for adults and the other for children.

Onboard, all Qatar Airways passengers will be provided with a complimentary protective kit. Environmentally conscious passengers can travel with the reassurance that Qatar Airways continuously monitors the market to assess both passenger and cargo demand to ensure it operates the most efficient aircraft on each route. The airlines’ achievements are a proof that Qatar Airways will always provide its passengers with the very best onboard experience every time they travel with it.
