Qatar is set to launch another global platform for exchange of ideas, experiences and presentation of solutions to create more stable, peaceful and prosperity tomorrow. The new forum would definitely help in creating more understanding among world leaders representing different sectors from governance to information technology.
With the participation of over 100 speakers from around the globe, the inaugural Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg will be held virtually from June 21 to 23. The Forum will welcome a global delegation of influential voices in business, finance, and economic policy, as they prepare a blueprint for the next stage of international growth.
On Monday (June 21), Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will deliver the opening speech at the “Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg” which will take place under His Highness’s patronage. Global government leaders participating in the inaugural virtual event include President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo; The Rt Hon Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame; President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa; President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall; President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, in addition to more than 100 speakers from around the world.
Qatar is already serving global community for stable world through ‘Doha Forum’ which is a global platform for dialogue and brings together leaders in policy to build innovative and action driven networks. Established in 2000, the Doha Forum is a platform for global dialogue on critical challenges facing our world. The Doha Forum promotes the interchange of ideas, discourse, policy making, and action oriented recommendations.
The agenda of inaugural Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg will be centered around six main pillars over the course of three days: “Technology Advanced” takes a closer look at permanent changes to the human-technology nexus; “A Sustainable World” will explore the intersection of capitalism and climate; “Markets and Investing” poses the question of whether investors, in their inexorable pursuit of growth opportunities, can shape a more resilient global economy; “Power and Trade Flows” gathers global power brokers to share their vision of the road ahead; “The Changing Consumer” examines the future of commerce; and “A More Inclusive World” will offer ideas for healing fissures in a post-pandemic society.
Anchored strategically in Doha, the Forum draws on Qatar’s ability to link Asia with Africa and beyond, as well as its position as a leader in transitional energy technologies and the home to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
