Qatar has again been placed at top rankings by different global organisations thanks to wise strategies of Qatari leadership and perfect implementation of those strategies and policies by relevant government entities.

In the last many years, Qatar has been winning top positions in different global rankings in various categories from peace, food security to tourism. In the latest rankings, Qatar is among best places for expat women while Doha has been chosen as one of ‘The World’s Greatest Places of 2022’ by TIME Magazine.

Qatar has been ranked 26th Best Place for Expats in 2022 and 8th in the world in the Best Quality of Life for Expat Women category according to the InterNations Expat Insider Report 2022. Qatar also finished fourth in the Health and Well-Being subcategory of the Quality of Life Index.

Recently, Qatar had topped the countries of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for the fourth year in a row, according to the Global Peace Index Report for 2022. Qatar ranked 23 globally among 163 countries included in the report, advancing by six places over the previous year.

Last month, Qatar also ranked 18 in The World Competitiveness Yearbook 2022 out of 64 countries. The report is published annually by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.

Doha has also been chosen as one of ‘The World’s Greatest Places of 2022’ by TIME Magazine in a list consisting of 50 places around the globe. Doha was picked for its World Cup wonders as the country gears up for the world’s biggest football tournament to kick off in November. The magazine highlighted Qatar’s hospitality preparations to welcome football fans around the world.

To recall Doha had been ranked third ‘Trending Destination’ in the world in Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2021.

Doha had also retained its position as the second safest city in the world according to Numbeo’s Crime Index by City 2021. According to this classification, Doha became the second safest city (at 430 position) out of 431 cities covered in the report with a score of 87.96 points in safety index.

Meanwhile Qatar Airways has taken the top prize at the AirlineRatings Awards by securing the ‘Airline of the Year’ award in addition to being named ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’ and also taking home the ‘Best Business Class’ award.

This is the second year running that Qatar Airways has scooped the top prize and the fourth year in a row to take home the ‘Best Business Class’ award.
