The State National Day Celebrations Organizing Committee yesterday announced the slogan for the 2021 Qatar National Day: Ancestral Meadows: A Matter of Trust. The new slogan is based on the poetry of the founder of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Bin Thani, may Allah rest his soul in peace, and represents the strong relationship of Qataris to their environment. The slogan comes within the Committee’s mission to enhance loyalty, solidarity, unity and national pride, and emphasizes the values which include partnership, inspiration, creativity and transparency.
Qatar, under the wise leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has attached great importance to the environment and sustainable development as it is one of the most important pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030. To achieve this aim, clear plans and programmes were put in place to protect the environment and its natural balance, in order to pursue inclusive and sustainable development for all future generations.
H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, Chairman of the State National Day Celebrations Organizing Committee and Minister of Culture and Sports, said: Our celebration of the National Day this year is inspired by our loyalty to the legacy of our forefathers in preserving their homeland.”
For his part, Minister of Municipality and Environment H E Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie said Qatar pays special attention to environmental issues and emphasized its role in providing a healthy life for all its residents in line with the wise leadership’s interest in developing resources. The natural resources are guided by QNV 2030 and the development plans and strategies that have emerged from it, as it has harnessed all its energies to work constructively towards achieving a sustainable environment as well as preserving and restoring ecosystems.
Qatar went on the paths of glory, achieving accomplishments, caring for rights, helping the needy, championing the oppressed, observing the right of neighbourliness, adhering to values and morals, offering the world a bright example of a safe and stable country capable of achieving the highest levels of development, and providing the finest quality of life for its citizens.
The country is proud of the glories of the past and proud of the present accomplishments that is filled with hope, optimism and confidence in a bright tomorrow and a future full of giving, building, renaissance and progress under the wise leadership. Qatar National Day is is celebrated by all citizens and residents to promote loyalty, unity, and pride in Qatar’s national identity.
