The time has come for Arab and Islamic nations to reach consensus and make solid decision to counter barbarity of Israel and control its aggression. Doha is hosting the emergency Arab-Islamic summit tomorrow, which is being held after Israel’s treacherous attach on residential buildings in Doha last Tuesday.

The summit will discuss a draft statement on the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, submitted by the preparatory meeting of Arab and Islamic foreign ministers, which will be held today.

No doubt the hosting of the Arab-Islamic Summit reflects the broad Arab and Islamic solidarity with the State of Qatar.

The Israeli attack on Doha has already triggered a widespread condemnation across the globe and the whole world from east to west expressing solidarity with Qatar terming the Israeli aggression as a blatant violation of international laws and norms.

The summit also aims to bolster Doha’s ongoing mediation efforts, protect Palestinian people from the brutality of occupation, and deliver a firm message to the international community on the urgent need to confront the uncontrolled aggression of Israel’s far-right government.

Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs Haneen Sayed stressed the importance of holding the summit at this time, particularly after the Israeli aggression against Qatar, a key mediator in resolving global disputes and crises, contributing to global peace and stability.

Egyptian thinker and strategic expert Dr. Samir Farag has said that the emergency Arab and Islamic summit in Doha following the blatant Israeli attack aims to send important deterrence messages, while establishing an Arab strategy to secure Arab and Islamic states against threats, both direct, represented by Israel, and indirect threats to Arab national security.

Dean of the Faculty of Media at Damascus University Dr. Khaled Za’rour said that holding the summit at this time carries significant implications, noting that it follows directly after the Israeli attack on a residential compound for Hamas members in Doha, marking the importance of both timing and content.

Political analyst and academic at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, Dr. Samir Abu Madlala, stated that the Arab and Islamic countries participating in the summit are called upon to stand with Qatar in defending its national sovereignty.
